WHY I AM RUNNING FOR NATIONAL OFFICE
Honoring The Mission
Fighting for The Future
Thank you for visiting my site. I am excited to tell you a little bit more about me and why I am running for DAV National Office.

When I was 17 years old, I walked into a Marine Corps Recruitment Station in Downtown Boston with the singular purpose of serving my country in uniform. Since that day, I have never regretted the decision to be a part of something greater than just myself. It provided me with many opportunities, including meeting some incredible people who I would come to think of and regard as my brothers and sisters.

I find that same ethos and sense of mission in DAV everyday. From those founding WWI veterans to the leaders of today, DAV's legacy of hard work and advocacy can be seen in the outstanding benefits and services that we have earned and enjoy for years.

As we journey into the 21st Century, that spirit and determination is needed more than ever to preserve and expand those benefits for new generations of men and women who are serving and fighting for our nation.

The challenges we face are significant!
We must continue our strong advocacy to ensure all veterans with disabilities incurred in service receive the care and support they need and deserve.
And we must also fight and advocate for the pressing needs of today's and tomorrow's veterans. These include:

-
Recognizing illnesses and wounds incurred by toxic exposures

-
Declining veterans population, demographic changes and aging VA infrastructure

-
Access for women veterans' to quality healthcare in a safe and convenient manner

-
Ensuring our increasingly diverse veterans' population enjoys services and care that are welcoming and available to all those who use or need it

-
Instituting robust and more effective suicide prevention efforts at the local levels

-
Combating veterans' homelessness

-
Supporting our caregivers of all generations

-
And, protecting and enhancing survivor benefits for our families.

With this in mind, I believe my career experiences and long record of volunteer service to veterans and their families can help us accomplish this shared mission together. I would be honored to earn your support and confidence to represent you as a DAV National Officer.
If elected, I pledge to always
remember that representing this incredible organization is
an honor and a privilege.
I also pledge to work diligently with all DAV leaders and members to continue the fight, support the mission and strengthen our platform for another successful and strong 100 years of DAV service to its members and their families.

THANK YOU!
